Harry Jonas, a long-term active member of the ICCA Consortium and and co-chair of the IUCN WCPA Task Force on Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs) will be facilitating an exchange on OECMs (Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures) and ICCAs (territories and areas conserved by indigenous territories and local communities). He will tackle the following questions: what is understood as OECMs? What is their relevance with respect to ICCAs? Harry Jonas, together with other ICCA Consortium members, will offer some keys of understanding, and pursue the debate…
