Gaëlle Le Gauyer

Collaborator as interpreter and translator for English<>French and Spanish<>French

Born in Brittany, France, Gaëlle has been based in Quito, Ecuador, since 2014. She works as a freelance interpreter and translator for various social justice movements and organisations. She is also an activist for Mujeres de Frente, an antonomous feminist and anti-racist organisation committed against systems of punishment and dispossession. Throughout her professional experience, she has worked with diverse social movements and human rights organisations in France, Peru, Argentina, Palestine and Ecuador. She has served in the ICCA Consortium Secretariat from 2019 to 2023 – as Administrative and Communications Assistant until 2020, then as Linguistic Support Coordinator until 2023. She obtained a master’s degree in political studies from Sciences Po Lille in France in 2014 and a master’s degree in gender studies from FLACSO University in Ecuador in 2024.
